On May 26th, our Zaeda turned 4. We had some
family over, and lots of pink presents were unwrapped to reveal pink girly
things adorned with Disney princesses. She couldn’t have been happier.
A few weeks before her birthday, at a nearby park, Zaeda had
met a little girl with a bicycle that was frilly and colorful, with a doll seat
on the back and a zip up bag at the front. Zaeda was transfixed. She talked
about that girls bike for weeks. Meanwhile, she'd been struggling to keep up with
Oliver on the little tricycle, so it was clear she needed a bike. And we found
one covered with – you guessed it: Disney Princesses.
